Arboretum Volčji potok is a wheelchair accessible park, only half an hour drive distant from the Slovenian capital in which you can see about 2.5000 different types of trees and shrubs!
Arboretum is operating for already 65 years under the jurisdiction of University of Ljubljana. It is the most visited botanical garden in Slovenia and legally declared a place of cultural and natural heritage of national importance. Majority of the roads in the Arboretum are asphalted, but some of them are still macadam type. Wheelchair users might have little bit of a problem at some parts of the park so assistants are welcome. Wheelchair friendly toilette is located inside the park. In arboretum there are also always some additional exhibitions, like the famous spring flower shows. After the sightseeing we will have lunch in one of the local restaurants, where we will try some of the national delicacies of Carniola region.
