OPENING OF THE 2017 OPEN KITCHEN FESTIVAL IN LJUBLJANA

This Friday (24.03.2017), the famous Open kitchen festival is restarting! One of the most popular public events in Slovenian capital is entering its 5th season!!

Every Friday afternoon, from the end of March to mid October, the Open Kitchen on Ljubljana’s Pogačar’s square (near the Central Market and the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas), offers you an opportunity to meet Slovenian chefs, taste Slovenian and international dishes, and learn about different methods of food preparation.

The choice of food on offer is wide and varied. Each Friday, the market features around thirty different food providers, including modern restaurants, traditional Slovene “gostilnas”, tourist farms, and independent chefs wanting to promote their offerings. The cooking is done to the accompaniment of music and entertainment. As always you’ll be able to taste several different types of wines, cocktails, beers and other drinks.

And one important note for the wheelchair users. Exactly on Pogačar’s square, where the Open Kitchen festival is taking place, there is a a toilette specially designed for the disabled people and can be accessed with an “Eurokey”, which is universal in EU.

In case of bad weather, the market may be cancelled.
