MEETING OF THE SLOVENE PRIME MINISTER WITH THE ORGANIZATIONS OF THE DISABLED

Slovenian government is currently now on the summer holidays, but last week just before going on a well deserved rest, new Slovene prime minister Robert Golob met with the delegation of the organizations of the disabled from all around the country.

They emphasized that the new Slovenian government is interested in improving the level of cooperation with the community of the disabled and that level of dialogue has to be improved. He also said that the needs of the disabled need to be taken care constantly along the way and that it is not acceptable to fix the issues only when the problems arise. Special institution will be formed which will consist of the members of the government and the representatives of the disabled. National council of the disabled of Slovenia said the meeting was not long enough to solve all the issues, but it is definitely a step in the right directions.

More than 100.000 people with different kind of disabilities live in Slovenia.
