INTERNATIONAL TOURIST GUIDE DAY – 21ST FEBRUARY

Tomorrow (21st February) is an International Tourist Guide day! Many different institutions in Slovenia, including several Societies of Tourist guides, Museums, Tourist Info Centers and Non-Profit organizations have organized 55 free of charge tours in 26 cities across Slovenia.

Majority of the free of charge guided tours will take place in the capital Ljubljana, but visitors will also be able to enjoy the guided tours of other Slovenian towns including Maribor, Piran, Bled, Bohinj, Postojna…

Except for the free of charge guided tours also the Press conference will take place in Ljubljana, on which the future of (accessible) tourism in Slovenia and the role of Tourist guides will be discussed.

The cherry on the cake will be the guided tour of the Museum of contemporary Slovenian history for the members of Slovenian National Assembly and the Slovenian delegates in the parliament of European Union.
