NAUTICAL TOURISM FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS

The tourist season is in full swing and mobile inspection crew of NoLimits Tours payed a visit to neighboring Dalmatian coast in Croatia, where we checked the possibilities for Accessible Nautical Tourism.

Small Yacht My Trinidad is docked in the Dalmatian city of Zadar. It is 13m long and 4m wide. Its interior has 3 cabins and can accommodate up to 6 persons. One of the cabins is completely adapted for the manual wheelchair users. The bathroom is a tiny one.

Adaptations which have been done in the last year are the following ones: hydraulic ramp – controlled by the remote controller, elevator which can take you to the every deck of the ship. There is also a side elevator which can take the wheelchair users to the sea and back to the boat. Maximum weight is 110kg and the wheelchair cannot be more then 63cm wide.
